OVERVIEW:

Opuntia rufida is a distinctive Southwestern cactus recognized for its rounded blue-green pads and reddish-brown glochids. Its architectural structure and excellent drought tolerance make it a strong specimen for desert gardens and xeriscape landscapes. Bright yellow flowers provide seasonal color before developing into fruit.
