Euphorbia xantii

Baja Spurge

OVERVIEW:

The euphorbia xantii is one of the most unique plants found in the Southwestern states; being one of very few succulents with a fragrant bloom. The beautiful clusters of pink or white flowers can be seen from Spring to late summer, giving the appearance of an almost year round bloom. However, although a gorgeous drought tolerant succulent, E. xantii is extremely invasive, spreading by rhizomes and self-sowing in the garden. Due to the toxic white sap in each stem , trimming this beauty can present a challenge. However, if given ample room and the right care, the Euphorbia xantii will flourish.
